JennEng Camping July 2013

We got in the car on Friday morning and headed off to the Catskills this past weekend and camped out for three days. It was beautiful. Billy’s kids are here and they’ve never been camping ever, so we took them on a little adventure. We went hiking, swimming, made a fire and had smores. We camped out at Big Pond where spots are first come first serve. There’s no running water and that means fun times with no bathroom or showers. We got a nice spot, no. 4, it was large and flat giving us space for two tents and room to spread out.

It’s hard to find info on Big Pond online but it’s only a few minutes away from Little Pond which is an actual state campground with amenities for fishing, boating and hiking for a fee. We stayed at Little Pond once (which is nice as well) and discovered Big Pond which had camp spots for free set along side the pond.

We are always in search of good camping areas so if you’ve been to some great spots please let me know :)
